Mountains of the North Wind
The inspiration for this work came from a photographic study I completed in Spain last year.
The Finca we were staying in we looked out over the Serra De Tramuntana mountain range. This translates in English as ‘Mountains of the north wind’. Photographed the view in different light/ weather conditions - Dawn, midday, fog, rain, sunset and in high winds.
Our position in the valley protected us from the howling wind when it came through, we were able to watch it pass by but we were never affected. I took it as a message - despite the option to become part of that chaos, we also have the ability to simply observe it.
