Bloom
Bloom emerged from a plant medicine journey during a period when I was experiencing resistance towards certain situations in my life.
There were parts of my experience that felt uncomfortable to face, and my instinct was to look away. Instead, I found myself being invited to stay present with them. To sit with the discomfort. To become curious about what it was trying to show me.
What unfolded was an unexpected shift in perspective. The very things I had been resisting held valuable lessons about who I was, how I was moving through the world, and what was ready to change.
As this work developed, it became a reflection of that process. Layers of uncertainty giving way to clarity. Softness emerging from tension. Beauty revealing itself in places I hadn't thought to look.
The delicate blooms of colour throughout the piece came to symbolise transformation for me - not as a destination, but as a continuous unfolding. A reminder that growth often begins the moment we stop resisting what is asking to be felt.
