The fruit trees represent not only nourishment from the earth, but the creative gifts, ideas and callings we each carry within us. Some arrive early and effortlessly. Others require years of unseen growth beneath the surface before they are ready to be shared with the world.
An orchard does not compare one tree to another.
The orange tree is not in competition with the fig tree, nor the fig with the peach.
Each bears fruit in its own time and according to its own nature.
Perhaps we are the same.
“In the Orchard” is an invitation to trust the season you are in, to tend gently to what has been placed in your care, and to remember that abundance is rarely something we chase.
More often, it is something we cultivate.
