At Home in the Mountains
For the past 10 years of my life, i’ve lived surrounded by, or alongside of mountains. Physically they’re strong, solid, rugged and at times brutal, though energetically I’ve always noticed a softness to their expression. As if they were guardians, gently supporting my existence and offering a sense of deep connection to the lands we’ve called home.
This work was inspired by the Serra de tramontana mountain range in Mallorca, a place of extravagant beauty, class and culture. Remember feeling amazed by the connection I felt there, through the land. iT taught me that no matter where we are, we can feel at home through our connection to the natural world.
